Privacy Policy
The Korea Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center ('KAMIC', hereafter) established this privacy policy in order to protect the personal information of visitors and to promptly handle any inquiries or complaints related to such information, in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act(Korean: 개인정보 보호법).
Article 1 (Purpose of Processng Personal Information)
KAMIC collects personal information for the following purposes only. Personal information collected will not be used for any other purposes, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures will be taken in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as obtaining extra consent.
① KAMIC collects and processes personal information for the purposes of membership registration and management, verifying the intent to join, identifying and authenticating members for providing member services, maintaining and managing member qualifications, preventing misuse of services, providing various notices, processing complaints, etc.

- Retention period: until the member withdraws their membership.
② KAMIC processes personal information for the purposes of provision of goods or services: delivering goods, providing services, sending contracts/invoices, providing content, offering customized services, identifying individuals, processing payment and settlement, and collecting debts.

- Retention period: 3 or 5 years, depending on the applicable law:
- Records related to the collection, processing, and use of credit information: 3 years/ Records related to consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years/ Records related to payment of fees and supply of goods: 5 years
Article 2 (Types of Personal Information Processed)
① KAMIC processes the following personal information:
1. For the purpose of membership registration and management,
- Required information: email, password, login ID, name
2. For the purpose of providing goods or services,
- Required information: email, mobile phone number, name, company name
- Optional information: login ID, company phone number, position, department, company address, account information, transaction date.
Article 3 (Procedure and Method of Personal Information Destruction)
① KAMIC shall destroy without delay the relevant personal information if the retention period of personal information has elapsed, the processing purpose has been achieved, or if personal information is no longer necessary for its original purpose.
② However, if it is necessary to retain the personal information under other laws and regulations even after the expiration of the period of retention agreed upon by the information subject or the accomplishment of the processing purpose, KAMIC shall move thepersonal information to a separate database(DB) or store it in a different location to retain it.

③ The procedure and method of destroying personal information are as follows:

KAMIC shall select the personal information to be destroyed and obtain the approval of the personal information protection manager of KAMIC to destroy the personal information. - Destruction Method:
In case of information in form of any possible electronic file, it will be processed into unreadable file by specific technology.
Article 4 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Their Method of Exercise with Legal Representatives)
① Data holders may exercise their rights to access, correct, delete, and stop processing personal information from KAMIC at any time.
② The exercise of rights under paragraph 1 may be made in writing, by e-mail, facsimile, etc. pursuant to Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and will take measures without delay.
③ The right under paragraph 1 may be exercised through a legal representative or an agent who has been delegated. In this case, the delegate must submit a power of attorney according to Form No. 11 attached to the "Guidelines on the Processing of Personal Information" (Notice No. 2020-7).
④ The right to access personal information and the right to request a suspension of processing may be restricted pursuant to Article 35(4) and Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
⑤ The right to correct or delete personal information cannot be exercised if such personal information is specified as a collection target in another law
⑥ KAMIC confirms whether the requester is the data subject or a legitimate representative when receiving requests for access, correction, deletion, and suspension of processing in accordance with the data subject's rights.
Article 5 (Measures to ensure the security of personal information)
KAMIC takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information.
① We are implementing measures to minimize the handling of personal information and to manage personal information by designating employees who handle personal information and limiting them to responsible personnel.
② We have installed security programs and regularly updated and checked them to prevent personal information leakage and damage caused by hacking, computer viruses, etc. We have also installed systems in areas where access is controlled from the outside and are monitoring and blocking them technically/physically.
③ User's personal information is encrypted and stored and managed with an encrypted password that only the user can know, and important data is secured using separate security functions such as encrypting files and transmission data or using file locking functions.
④ We are retaining and managing the records of accessing personal information processing systems for at least one year to prevent tampering and storing and managing them for more than two years in cases of adding personal information about more than 50,000 data subjects or processing unique identification information or sensitive information. In addition, we are using security functions to prevent tampering, theft, or loss of access records.
⑤ We are taking necessary measures to control access to personal information by granting, changing, and revoking access rights to the database system that processes personal information and are controlling unauthorized access from the outside by using an intrusion prevention system.
Article 6 (Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Collection Devices for Personal Information)
① KAMIC uses 'cookies' that store and retrieve usage information from users' computers to provide customized services to individual users.
② Cookies are small pieces of information sent by the server (http) used to operate the website to the user's computer browser and can also be stored on the user's PC hard disk.
- Purpose of using cookies: They are used to identify and provide the user with optimized information by understanding the user's visit and usage patterns of each service and website visited, popular search terms, and whether the user is accessing securely
- Installation, operation, and refusal of cookies: You can refuse to store cookies by setting options in the Internet Options > Privacy menu of your web browser.
- If you refuse to store cookies, there may be difficulties in using customized services.

② Data holders have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and/or data portability during using service provided by KAMIC immediately.
Article 8 (Department in Charge of Receiving and Processing Requests for Access to Personal Information)
The data subject may make a request for access to his/her personal information pursuant to Article 35 of the Personal Information Protection Act to the department below. KAMIC will make efforts to promptly process the data subject's request for access to personal information.

Article 9 (Remedies for Infringement of Data Subject's Rights and Interests)
The data subject may apply for dispute resolution or counseling to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, Korea Internet & Security Agency Personal Information Infringement Report Center, or other organizations for reporting and counseling on personal information infringements in order to receive remedies for personal information infringements. According to Article 35 (Request for Access to Personal Information), Article 36 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information), and Article 37 (Suspension of Processing of Personal Information) of the Personal Information Protection Act, individuals who have suffered damages to their rights or interests due to the disposal or arbitrary handling of personal information by a public official may request administrative adjudication in accordance with the Administrative Adjudication Act.
